Avoid Lozelles, Aston, Ladywood, Erdington etc

Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Harbourne, most of the city centre is pretty decent. Moseley, Edgbaston are also nice areas

I lived for two years in Balsall Heath - it was terrible.
